A real sense of community adds to the Tower countryside, with fine schools and a great selection of shops, including the largest Centra in Ireland, and of course, should you need it, the bustling city of Cork is just a short drive away.
Inniscarra Community Centre is minutes away, with a multi-sports complex including rugby, hurling, football, camogié, soccer pitch and putt course and an indoor sports complex.
Blarney Utd., Soccer Club, with over 500 members in boy’s and girl’s teams up to Senior level, is the envy of the soccer community, boasting ultra modern-club house facilities and two full-size pitches, one of which is all-weather.
There is a strong sense of community in the area with “TDA” ( Tower Development Association) who tend to the village green and children’s play area and the vast array of shrubs, plants and flower beds.
A 5 min, drive away is Cloghroe National School , one of the country’s largest and it has recently extended its facilities to enhance its already-superb reputation.
There are several access routes to the city via Blarney to Blackpool or directly to Shanakiel, or to the western suburbs via the new link road. All are minutes away from CUH/ UCC/ CIT.
